Drag Me To Hell
Synopsis
In 1969 Pasadena, California, a young couple seek aid of the medium Shaun San Dena (Flor de Maria Chahua) as their son claims to see and hear monsters. San Dena aids the family with a seance, but they are attacked by an unseen force which pulls the boy into a fiery pit.
In 2009 Los Angeles, California, bank loan officer Christine Brown (Alison Lohman) hopes to be promoted to assistant manager over her co-worker Stu Rubin (Reggie Lee). Her boss, Jim Jacks (David Paymer), advises her to demonstrate that she can make tough decisions to get a promotion. Christine is visited by an elderly woman, Sylvia Ganush (Lorna Raver), who asks for an extension on her mortgage payment. Christine decides to deny Ganush an extension to prove herself to Mr. Jacks. Jacks compliments Christine on how she handled the situation.
In the bank parking lot, Christine is attacked in her car by Ganush. After a violent struggle, Ganush removes a button from Christine's coat and uses it to place a curse on Christine. Later, with her boyfriend Clay Dalton (Justin Long), they meet the fortune teller Rham Jas (Dileep Rao), who tells Christine that she is being haunted by a spirit. At her home, Christine is attacked by the spirit and has nightmares about Ganush. At work the next day, Christine has a projectile nosebleed that soaks a horrified Mr. Jacks in blood. Christine then tries to meet Ganush at her granddaughter's home and finds that Ganush died the previous night and a memorial service is being held.
Christine returns to Rham Jas, who explains that she is being haunted by a powerful demon called the Lamia that will torment her for three days before taking her to Hell. Rham Jas suggests a sacrifice to appease the demon. The next day, the Lamia returns and thrashes
Christine around her bedroom. Desperate to stop the attacks, Christine sacrifices her pet kitten. At a dinner party with Clay and his parents, Christine is still tormented by the Lamia, which frightens the Daltons enough for them to think Christine is not the right girl for their son Clay.
Christine returns to Rham Jas, for further help, who says that Shaun San Dena will risk her life to stop the demon for a fee of $10,000. Further supernatural attacks on Christine lead Clay to pay the fee. San Dena prepares a séance to trap the Lamia's spirit in a goat and kill it, vanquishing the spirit. San Dena allows the Lamia to inhabit her body. Rham Jas tries to persuade it not to steal Christine's soul, but it refuses and vows to never stop until Christine dies. Christine then places San Dena's hand on the goat, causing the spirit to enter its body. San Dena's assistant, Milos, attempts to kill the goat, but is instead bitten by the goat and in turn becomes possessed, attacking the members of the seance. San Dena banishes the Lamia from the séance, but dies in the process. Rham Jas seals the button from Christine's coat in an envelope and then tells her that the only way to get rid of the curse is to give the accursed item to someone as a gift, thereby passing the curse on to that person.
Christine and Clay drive home, but due to a sudden stop by Clay, she drops the envelope. After retrieving the envelope, Christine attempts to find a recipient of the curse. She decides to give the envelope to Stu, but changes her mind. With guidance from Rham Jas, Christine learns she can give it to Ganush. Christine drives to the cemetery where Ganush is buried and digs up her grave. In a torrential downpour, Christine jams the envelope in Ganush's mouth. The next day, Christine goes to Los Angeles Union Station to meet Clay, where they plan to spend a weekend in Santa Barbara. Clay, planning to propose reveals to Christine that he found the envelope containing the button from her coat in his car. Christine then realizes she mixed up her envelope with another that she gave to Clay. Horrified, Christine walks backward and falls onto the tracks as a train barrels towards her. Before the train hits her, a fiery hole in the ground opens from under the tracks. Clay watches in horror as hands reach out and pull Christine down into hell to burn for eternity.

Blues

Supernatural
Season One consists of 22 episodes that aired in the United States beginning September 13, 2005, and ending May 4, 2006. The first sixteen episodes aired on Tuesdays at 9:00 pm, after which the series was rescheduled to Thursdays.
Two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester, team up to find their father, John, who went missing on a hunting trip. However, their father isn't a typical hunter: he hunts supernatural creatures like ghosts, vampires, and various demons and he's trained his sons to do the same. Along the way, Sam and Dean save innocent people, fight creatures and ghosts, and collect clues to their father's whereabouts. Sam begins to mysteriously develop psychic abilities and visions as they travel. They eventually find their father, who reveals that the creature that killed Sam and Dean's mother years earlier is a yellow-eyed demon and the only thing that can kill him is a legendary gun created by Samuel Colt.
Season Two consists of 22 episodes that aired on Thursdays at 9:00 pm in the United States beginning September 28, 2006, and ending May 17, 2007.
Season Three consists of 16 episodes that aired on Thursdays at 9:00 pm in the United States beginning October 4, 2007, and ending May 15, 2008.Originally 22 episodes were ordered for the third season, but production was halted on December 5, 2007, upon completion of the twelfth episode due to the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike. The season number was shortened to sixteen episodes, with four new episodes airing in April and May 2008.
Season Four consists of 22 episodes that aired on Thursdays at 9:00 pm in the United States beginning September 18, 2008, and ending May 14, 2009.
Season Five consists of 22 episodes and was rumored to be the last season, due to Eric Kripke's statements over the years that he had planned for the show to run for only five seasons.Despite this, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles had contracts for a sixth season, and The CW renewed the series on February 16, 2010.
Season 6
Creator Eric Kripke originally planned for the show to last only five seasons, but due to increased ratings from the fourth and fifth seasons, the CW network renewed the series for a sixth season.Kripke has confirmed he will not be returning as showrunner; however, he will still remain as a hands-on executive producer, leaving Executive Producer Sera Gamble to take over the reins.
While the locations and storyline change on a near weekly basis, there are a few things that show up regularly.
The 1836 Colt Paterson, Texas—usually referred to as "The Colt"—was made by Samuel Colt for a paranormal hunter. According to legend, anything shot by this gun, using one of its thirteen original bullets, will die, including creatures normally immune to any and all weapons. John Winchester gives it to the demon Azazel in return for Dean's life being spared after an almost-fatal car crash, and at the end of the second season, Azazel uses it as a key to open a gateway to Hell that Samuel Colt had sealed. The last bullet is then used to kill the demon, though it is later repaired to allow the use of more bullets. Towards the end of the third season, Lilith's right-hand demon Crowley acquires the gun and hides it. It is then featured in two time-travel episodes, before Crowley returns it to the Winchesters so that they can kill Lucifer. However, Lucifer later reveals there are five things in creation which the gun cannot kill, and he is one of them.
The gun used in the series is actually a replica Colt ball and cap gun modified to fire metallic cartridges. On the barrel of the gun is inscribed the Latin phrase "non timebo mala", meaning "I will fear no evil".On the handle is a carving of a pentagram, with much of the finish removed to give it an aged appearance. The props department also has a rubber version of the Colt to be used in fight scenes for pistol-whipping.
Impala
Throughout the series, Dean drives a black 1967 Chevrolet Impala. Having been passed down to him by his father, it is Dean's most prized possession, with actor Jensen Ackles feeling it is Dean's "life" and "sanctuary".The brothers travel in it throughout the country as they hunt the supernatural, and the trunk holds various weaponry. In the first two seasons, it has a Kansas license plate with the number KAZ 2Y5, a reference to the Winchesters' home state of Kansas, and the series premiere date of 2005.Towards the end of the second season, the car sports a new Ohio license plate (CNK 80Q3) to aid the brothers in hiding from the FBI.
The origins of the Impala were first depicted in the comic mini-series Supernatural: Origins, in which John Winchester takes ownership of the car from Mary's uncle after accidentally getting him killed during a hunt. However, fans responded negatively to this, as John is shown with the Impala in the teaser for the pilot episode, which is chronologically set before the comic series. Due to this, the comic was altered for the trade paperback version, with the Impala's true origins later being depicted in the series' fourth season. Having been sent back to 1973 by the angel Castiel, Dean convinces his father to purchase the Impala over a 1964 VW Van. The car's origins were further explored during the Season 5 finale, in which a frame story surrounded the plot of the episode tracking the Impala's history from its manufacture, through several previous owners, up until the present day.
All of the cars used in the show are stock 1967 Chevrolet Impalas four-door hardtops. They feature Chevrolet small-block engines, recolored interiors, custom seats, and nonfunctioning radios. Other than the one used in the original, all of the Impalas had to be painted black for the series. One of the Impalas used features a detachable roof and doors for up-close shots, and is capable of being separated in half.
Ruby's knife
Ruby possessed a mysterious and presumably magical demon-killing knife, which Kripke refers to as "a hand-to-hand version of the Colt".Its handle is made of elk antlers, and the knife has engravings on both sides of the blade, although the symbols are all balderdash. It has been seen and used many times following its introduction in the third season. Upon being stabbed in a vital area, the demon suffers immediate death, usually taking the human host with it. It is unknown if it is effective against other supernatural beings, although it is useless against angels. Furthermore, the demon Alastair is resistant to the knife's power. How the knife functions has yet to be revealed, and creator Eric Kripke doubts it ever will be, stating, "I like to leave some things mysterious. And that’s likely to remain mysterious"
66 seals
Holding Lucifer at bay are over 600 mystical seals, only 66 of which have to be broken for him to be released. The first seal needed to be broken is a "righteous man" spilling blood in Hell. The demon Lilith ensures Dean Winchester gets sent there at the end of the third season. While in Hell, Dean's decision to torture souls to free himself from his own torment breaks the first seal. This allows Lilith to begin breaking the remaining seals, prompting the angel Castiel to resurrect Dean from Hell to stop her in Season Four. The remaining seals are broken over the course of the season, with the final seal being broken by Sam when he succeeds in destroying Lilith in the finale "Lucifer Rising".
Trouble with the law
Because Dean and Sam do not get paid for their hunting, the brothers earn their living and pay for their hunting equipment through credit card fraud, poker winnings, and pool hustling. Furthermore, their investigations often put them on the wrong side of the law, as they have desecrated graves, impersonated various officials, and committed breaking and entering.
Framed for murder and bank robbery by shapeshifters, Dean has become a highly wanted man, and the brothers are occasionally pursued by various law enforcement officers, most notably FBI Agent Victor Henricksen. Because of their wanted status, the brothers often use aliases, usually derived from hard rock musicians, film references, or, in a meta-reference, the book Fletch and movie based on the book where the title character does the same thing. However, in the third season episode "Jus in Bello", Sam and Dean are presumed dead in the explosion of the Monument, Colorado, Sheriff's office and jail, ending the FBI's pursuit of them.

Blues

Vampireville
Helping make this a success is the high quality in Vampireville's aesthetics. The decision to use three dimensional polygon models for all of the characters and some of the effects helps give this title a visual feel that sets it apart from most hidden object games. Most importantly it helps imbue a great deal of personality into the central cast with, in some cases, some pretty impressive looking models.

House Of Wax
Synopsis
In 1974, a woman is making a wax sculpture in the kitchen while her son eats breakfast in his highchair. Her husband enters with another son who is shouting and kicking. The boy is forced into a highchair and strapped in place by his father. After being strapped and taped to his chair, he scratches his mother's hand. She then slaps her child across the face.
In 2005, six teenagers named Carly (Elisha Cuthbert), Nick (Chad Michael Murray), Wade (Jared Padalecki), Paige (Paris Hilton), Blake (Robert Ri'chard) and Dalton (Jon Abrahams) are on their way to a highly anticipated football game in Louisiana. Night falls and the group decides to set up camp for the night. The campsite is later visited by a stranger in a pickup truck who shines his lights at the campsite, but refuses to leave or address them until Nick smashes a headlight with a bottle. The next morning, Carly and Paige go exploring, Carly falls down a hill and lands in deer remains and sees a fake hand. One of the cars fan belts is found to be damaged. The group meets a disheveled, rural man named Lester (Damon Herriman), who offers to drive Carly and Wade to the nearby town of Ambrose to get a new fan belt, while the rest of them go to the football game.
The two arrive at Ambrose, which is virtually a ghost town. Unable to find an attendant at the auto mechanics shop, they wander into the church, disrupting a funeral. There, they meet a mechanic named Bo (Brian Van Holt), who offers to sell them a fan belt after the funeral. While waiting for the services to end, Carly and Wade visit the wax museum, which itself is made of wax and is the central feature of the town. Afterward, they follow Bo to his house to find a proper fan belt. While there, Wade is knocked out by Vincent (also played by Brian Van Holt) and Bo grabs Carly, super glues her lips shut and locks her in a cellar. Dalton and Nick arrive in Ambrose to look for Carly and Wade; Vincent meanwhile starts to cover Wade in wax.
While Nick questions Bo if he has seen his sister, Carly tries signaling for help by sticking her finger out of a vent, trying to get her brothers attention. Bo notices her finger sticking out and leans down by the vent while still talking to Nick and snips the tip of her finger off. Carly falls screaming in pain and later pries her lips open in order to scream for help. Nick, hearing her screams, knocks Bo out after he attacks him. Nick locks Bo out of the station and finds his sister and the two escape. Dalton finds Wade who is alive but he is unable to move or talk because he is immobilized by a layer of wax covering his body. Dalton peels off the wax but realizes he is peeling Wade's skin off. Vincent finds Dalton and accidentally slashes Wade's face with a powersaw. Wade dies from shock. Vincent later chases and decapitates Dalton, killing him. Meanwhile, Nick and Carly realize that the wax figures are actually real people - Bo and Vincent have been trapping people in wax in order for the figures to look more realistic.
Vincent goes to their camp site and kills Blake and chases Paige to an abandoned sugar mill. After being stabbed in the foot, Paige hides in a car but Vincent finds her but she impales him in the cheek with a spear and flees. Paige hides behind a car but Vincent throws a spear through the windows of the car which impales her forehead, killing her instantly. Carly and Nick overhear Bo and Vincent talking and discovers that they were conjoined twins. Bo and Vincent find and chase Carly and Nick to the House of Wax. Nick and Carly unintentionally set the House of Wax on fire. As this is occurring, the wax figures start to melt, as does the whole house. Carly beats Bo to death with a baseball bat, which enrages Vincent. Vincent chases Nick and Carly on to the balcony but Carly and Nick stab Vincent in the hip, thus killing him. As the House of Wax melts from the fire, the room in which all three are in collapses, causing Vincent to land on Bo's corpse. Nick and Carly escape the fiery House of Wax and breathlessly watch as it melts to the ground.
The ambulance and police arrive at daybreak, reporting that Ambrose has been abandoned for ten years when the local sugar mill failed. The policeman (Andy Anderson) reveals that there was a third son of Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair who happens to be Lester. Nick and Carly are then taken to hospital. From inside the ambulance, Carly looks at Lester who is smiling at her.(Source:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_of_Wax_(2005_film) )
Blues
Friday The 13th
Synopsis
On June 13, 1980, a young Jason Voorhees (Caleb Guss) witnesses his mother (Nana Visitor) beheaded by a camp counselor (Stephanie Rhodes) who was trying to escape Mrs. Voorhees's murderous rampage around Camp Crystal Lake. Approximately 30 years later, a group of vacationing friends—Wade (Jonathan Sadowski), Richie (Ben Feldman), Mike (Nick Mennell), Whitney (Amanda Righetti) and Amanda (America Olivo)—arrive at Crystal Lake on a camping trip to find some marijuana that was planted in the woods. As Mike and Whitney explore the abandoned Crystal Lake camp, an adult Jason (Derek Mears) begins to kill the rest of the group one-by-one. Jason also kills Mike, but he spares Whitney and decides to kidnap her because she resembles his mother at a young age.
Six weeks later, Trent (Travis Van Winkle), along with his girlfriend Jenna (Danielle Panabaker), and their friends Bree (Julianna Guill), Chewie (Aaron Yoo), Chelsea (Willa Ford), Nolan (Ryan Hansen) and Lawrence (Arlen Escarpeta) arrive at Trent's summer cabin, which sits on Crystal Lake. The group is unaware of the events that occurred a few weeks prior. Additionally, Clay Miller (Jared Padalecki) arrives in town to search Crystal Lake for his sister Whitney, whom he believes to be alive. Clay eventually makes his way to Trent's cabin, where Jenna agrees to help him look for his sister on the other side of the lake. As Clay and Jenna search for clues to Whitney's disappearance, Jason kills Nolan and Chelsea, who are wakeboarding on the lake. Clay and Jenna reach the old Crystal Lake campgrounds, where they witness Jason hauling a dead body into one of the abandoned camp houses.
The pair run back to warn the others about Jason, who arrives shortly after them and cuts the power to the cabin. After killing Chewie and Lawrence, who ventured outside the house, Jason sneaks inside the cabin and kills Bree. Trent, Clay and Jenna escape the house, but Trent is killed when he reaches the main road. Jason then chases Clay and Jenna back to the campgrounds, where Clay discovers Jason's lair and finds his sister chained to the wall. Clay frees Whitney, and all three attempt to escape as Jason arrives. The trio find an exit, but Jenna is killed before she can get out. Jason comes after Clay and Whitney, but Whitney uses Jason's love and memory of his mother—by pretending to be Mrs. Voorhees—to distract him long enough to stab him in the chest with his own machete. Afterward, Clay dumps Jason's lifeless body into the lake. Before he and Whitney can leave, Jason bursts through the wooden dock and grabs Whitney.

Blues

100 Feet
The film begins with Marnie Watson (Famke Jannsen) being driven home in a police car. She stands outside for a few seconds before going in to the house. Shanks (Bobby Cannavale), the cop escorting her and the former partner of her husband who was a also cop, tells her not to get used to fresh air. He lets her in to the hall, and Shanks tears off the police crime scene tape that had been left there. After they get inside, someone comes to fit her ankle bracelet, and they tell her she cannot move more than 100 feet from the detector in the hallway. Shanks treats Marnie quite badly, telling her she will remain in the house until her sentence is up. He tells her to clean up some blood from the wall, and that she will have lots of time to think about what she did. Marnie argues with him, telling him that if the police had taken her crime reports seriously, her husband would still be alive today.
Later that day, Marnie takes all of her husband's pictures, and belongings, and puts them in her basement, where the detector goes off. She then paints over the blood in the wall. She calls the power company about having her power restored, and they tell her they cannot make it until Monday, so she has to light some candles. Later that night, she is in bed and hears footsteps, but it turns out to be a cat.
She continues to hear the footsteps and goes downstairs where she finds a homeless man and threatens to stab him if he does not leave. The next day, a delivery boy Joey (Ed Westwick) arrives and brings her shopping over. He tells her he lives in the same street and compliments her house. She tells him she needs him to come by regularly, and he says he will do it for the tips. Marnie watches him leave.
Later that night, she is going upstairs, when the ghost of her husband, Mike (Michael Pare) pushes her down the stairs. As she crawls to the front door, she sets the detector off. She stands up, and Mike lunges at her. Shanks arrives a short time later, and finds her unconscious at the front door. She tells him she fell down the stairs. He asks her if someone is beating her, but she tells him she would not cover for anyone. He then chastises her for not cleaning up the blood stain, which has reappeared on the wall.
The next day, she cleans it up again, before heading upstairs with a baseball bat. She gets scared when the power company switch the power back on. She goes to make herself a cup of coffee, when the cupboard starts to rattle, and plates fly across the room at her. She shouts at Mike that he had it coming, because he beat her for years. Her sister arrives to buy out her share of her mother's house and the pair argue.
Joey comes over the next day and tells her he knows what happened in her house. She then reads a book on exorcising spirits, and finds out that it is necessary to remove the dead person's belongings from the house. She collects Mike's things from the basement, and he attacks her. She grabs his case, but Shanks appears and tells her he heard screaming. He decides that Joey is hitting her. He believes that she is covering for Mike's killer and tells her he will protect her. She tells him he can't protect her. He tells her he read Mike's files and saw what he did to her. He apologises for not doing anything at the time.
After Shanks leaves, she drops her ring down the sink and reaches in to collect it. Mike grabs her hand and pulls it in to the drain, but she manages to get her hand out. After some digging around, she finds a crawlspace under her bedroom floor, that is filled with money. She invites a priest over to her house and donates the money to the church. She asks him to bless her house, and he tells her that he can't do it. After he leaves, Mike seals up the house and throws furniture at Marnie.
She escapes and phones Joey. He tells her he will come over, but she says no. He arrives at her house and begins to shout to let him in. She throws the keys down, and he enters. They have sex, while Mike watches them on the ceiling, Marnie saw him as Mike disappears, she resumes. Mike appears and tortures Joey, breaking his bones and breaks his head off resulting in his death. Marnie hides his corpse in the crawlspace, as Shanks arrives, demanding to to search the house.
She tells him to leave, as Joey's corpse falls into the hallway. He arrests her for his murder just as Mike sends her flying across the room. Shanks notices this, and Mike attacks him too. He tells Mike to stay away from Marnie, but Mike sets the house on fire and throws them both into the basement. Marnie takes off her ring and throws it at her ex-husband's ghost, who catches it and then goes through a transformation, disintegrating in a ball of fire. She gets out, and Shanks tells her to escape. We see her on a bus, while a passenger reads a USA Today paper whose headline proclaims she died in the fire saving Shanks' life.

Tenchu 2
Synopsis
The Azuma Ninja have served the House of Gohda for countless generations. Now three young ninjas, Rikimaru, Ayame, and Tatsumaru, must protect Lord Gohda Matsunoshin against a Coup d'état, a Civil war, and a mysterious group of Ninjas calling themselves the Burning Dawn.
After the three Ninjas are accepted into the Azuma clan, they are called to Gohda castle, which is under attack by Lord Gohda's uncle, Motohide. After a bloody battle, which includes the death of Lady Kei, Lord Gohda's wife, and the kidnapping of Princess Kiku, Lord Gohda's daughter, Rikimaru stops Motohide from killing Lord Gohda, but can't stop Motohide from escaping. It turns out that Motohide was working for a rival Lord, Lord Toda. Toda kills Motohide, only to be killed himself and decapitated by Lady Kagami, the leader of Lord Toda's ninja. She is leading a group of rebel Ninjas calling themselves the Burning Dawn, consisting of Suzaku, Genbu, Seiryu, and Byakko, the four Lords of the Burning Dawn, and led by Lady Kagami. To make matters worse, the recently made leader of the Azuma Ninja, Tatsumaru, has gone missing. It is later revealed that Tatsumaru has lost his memory and is now part of the Burning Dawn. Rikimaru and Ayame now have to save Lord Gohda, and stop a Ninja revolution in Japan.
Characters
Playable characters
Rikimaru
An extremely skilled and hard working Ninja, Rikimaru has worked since childhood to become a shadow warrior. Rikimaru had emulated Tatsumaru as a role model and was much like an older brother to him. Initially Rikimaru was a weak child, but due to his discipline he became strong, but at his young age in this game he is too overconfident for his own good at times. It becomes clear during the game that he is a born leader and later overcomes his weaknesses of character through the tragic life lessons of a Ninja in the game. His weapon is a Ninjatō.
Ayame
The youngest of the Azuma Ninja, Ayame is wild and rebellious. As the story progresses, she develops a strong bond with princess Kiku, and we find out that she has loved Tatsumaru since a child romantically, causing further conflict between both their fates. As the game progresses, Ayame is forced to become much more mature and independent while dealing with the pain and tragedies she experiences. She is partial comic relief in the game and has a comical rivalry with antagonist Genbu the Wise. For weapons, Ayame wields dual Tantō.
Tatsumaru
The oldest of Azuma Shiunsai's students, Tatsumaru is chosen to succeed Master Shiunsai. Though he is older than both Rikimaru and Ayame, he has trained with both for years. After defeating Seiryu "The Blue Dragon", Tatsumaru fought a great fight against lady Kagami, ending with both of them falling into the sea. Kagami woke up first when the two were washed ashore, but she did not kill Tatsumaru and instead saved him by giving him a CPR. Tatsumaru lost his memory and was convinced that he is Seiryu, and thus became one of the four lords of the Burning Dawn, replacing the real Blue Dragon whom he killed. Then he forgets about the Azuma ninja clan and falls in love with Lady Kagami. After killing Master Shiunsai in the attack at the ninja village, he regains his lost memory. Knowing that his crimes are unforgivable, he understands that he deserves death, but his love for Kagami and belief in her cause makes him remain by her side, even though he disagrees with her methods. Although Tatsumaru has a sword (called Izayoi, the ninjatō passed down only to the Master of the Azuma Ninja Clan), he mostly uses unarmed attacks. After the fight with Ayame, Tatsumaru killed himself with the sword.
Other characters
Lady Kagami
Leader of the Burning Dawn, and also Lord Toda's head Ninja, Kagami dreams of a world where Ninjas don't have to live in the shadows. To do this, she has started a Ninja revolution to rid Japan of all Lords together with her toughest ninja, Genbu "the Green Titan", Byakko "the White Tiger", Suzaku "the Red Sparrow" and Seiryu "the Blue Dragon". She develops a strong romantic relationship with Tatsumaru. She was mortally wounded by Rikimaru, who used Tatsumaru's sword Izayoi, and died at the explosion of her ship, the Fire Demon, holding Tatsumaru's body near her.
Shiunsai Azuma
The leader of the Azuma Ninja, Master Shiunsai raised and taught Rikimaru, Ayame, and Tatsumaru to be Ninjas. He revealed that he killed Tatsumaru's father before he fought Tatsumaru at the attack at the Ninja Village. Before this, he had chosen Tatsumaru to his successor before Tatsumaru disappeared and later reappeared to kill him.
Lord Matsunoshin Gohda
The current leader of the House of Gohda. Gohda's family has relied upon the Azuma Ninja for years, and he trusts them with his life. He forms a special bond with Rikimaru, treating him more like a friend and confident then just a mere Ninja, and even covers up the fact that Rikimaru wounded him unintentionally (though it was himself who leaped in to absorb the attack). He is shown to be just and honourable, but his actions to protect his traitorous uncle results in the death of his wife and kidnapping of his daughter and subsequent destruction of his castle. As a result, at one point of the game he wants to lead a suicidal charge into battle against Lord Toda who was now posed to attack his now weakened territory, but is convinced by Rikimaru and others to allow his Azuma Ninja to stop Toda and live on.
Suzaku
One of the Four Lords of the Burning Dawn, Suzaku is later revealed to be Onikage, who appears in Tenchu: Stealth Assassins. Suzaku's weapon is a sword, but also uses his powerful kicks to kill his enemies. His fighting style resembles the Arnis-Sikaran Martial Arts originated in the Philippines; in Tenchu: Stealth Assassins. he fights with his Martial Arts, probably Taekwondo. Through out the game he confronts Rikimaru and constantly challenges and mocks him (even though Rikimaru always wins in their battles), often comparing himself to the young Ninja. He also initially wore a mask, but is later revealed to be wearing a blindfold over them, making it seem he was blind. He is eventually revealed to be Onikage in the secret ending after Tatsumaru's storyline. He is brutal and heartless, even killing his lover because she failed to defeat Rikimaru, stating "I have no love for weakness" thus finishing her off much to the shock of her and Rikimaru. He was revived later as Onikage.
Burning Dawn
The Burning Dawn has its origins when Lord Ghoda's uncle Motohide allied himself with a warlord called Toda Yoshisada in order take control over his kingdom.
Toda launched an attack against Ghoda castle which resulted in the death of Lord Ghoda's wife Lady Kei and the kidnapping of his daughter Princess Kiku. Motohide is later betrayed and killed by Toda, only to be betrayed and killed himself by his chief assassin Lady Kagami, the founder of the Burning Dawn.
Over an unknown period of time following the death of Lord Toda, the burning dawn partake in a series of underground criminal activities such as kidnapping, theft, forced labor, smuggling and murder. This in turn attracts the attention of Lord Ghoda and the Azuma Ninja, who make efforts to end the illegal activities of the organization.
The end finally arrives when the Burning Dawns hierarchy and its flag ship 'Fire Demon' are destroyed by the combined efforts of Azuma Ninjas Rikimaru and Ayame, as well as naval elements of the Ghoda army.

Notes
- It is important to keep in mind that the Rikimaru and Ayame missions with the same name (the Training Course, In Pursuit of Tatsumaru, The Kansen Caverns) are not the same mission. While the setting and situation may be the same, the missions have different objectives and stories, for instance, in the mission In Pursuit of Tatsumaru, the ending boss is the tiger for Ayame and Byako for Rikimaru.
- Tatsumaru's missions only become available after completing both Rikimaru and Ayame's missions.
Trivia
- One of the game's most acclaimed features was the Mission Editor. It gave the player the opportunity to create their own mission, including level layout, deciding which characters to put in, and mission objective. It spawned a tournament in North America to find the best created mission. Due to this acclaim the Mission Editor was later brought back and revamped for the PSP installment, Tenchu: Time of the Assassins
- The Four Lords of the Burning Dawn, Suzaku, Genbu, Byakko, and Seiryu, represent the Four Guardians of Chinese and Japanese mythology.
- Many of the voice talents in the game also voice characters in the Metal Gear Solid series. These include: Debi Mae West, Paul Eiding, Greg Eagles, Quinton Flynn, Earl Boen, Michael Gough, and Doug Stone.
- The game featured the voice of Mary Kay Bergman, who committed suicide on November 11, 1999, and was released nearly a year after her death.
- In the final confrontation between Ayame and Genbu, he mistakes her name thinking it means Iris 菖蒲. She tells him that its real meaning is Assassin Girl 殺女. This contradicts the game's original meaning, Colourful Girl 彩女. This dialogue only happens in the Japanese version. In the American version, a dying Genbu merely comments "Ayame, that's a nice name..." after having asked for her name.
Tenchu
The storyline has been continuously expanded with the release of newer Tenchu games.
- Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins is the prequel to Stealth Assassins which depicts Rikimaru and Ayame as teenagers first being taught the ways of the ninja by their master Shiunsai, this game also indicate their fellow ninja and former master of the Azuma clan Tatsumaru.
- Tenchu: Stealth Assassins The continuation of Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins. This story takes place after Tenchu 2, which is set 7 years earlier.
- Tenchu: Fatal Shadows is a sidestory of sorts, focusing on Ayame and a new character called Rin. Occurs between Stealth Assassins and Wrath of Heaven.
- Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven (Tenchu: Return from Darkness) is the direct continuation of Stealth Assassins.
- Tenchu: Shadow Assassins, the first game in the series on Wii console and will be ported for the PSP. The game takes place after Wrath of Heaven.
Unrelated to main storyline are:
- Dimensional Ninja Action Movie: Tenchu is the original release, Japan only.
- Tenchu: Shinobi Gaisen is the update of Stealth Assassins, Japan only.
- Tenchu: Time of the Assassins is the PlayStation Portable shinobi game.
- Tenchu: Dark Secret is the Nintendo DS game.
- Tenchu: Shadow Assault is an Xbox Live arcade game.
- Tenchu Z is the Xbox 360 game. It features a new create-a-ninja mode and online cooperative play. It follows a character the player creates under Rikimaru's tutelage.
GAMEPLAY
The game perspective is third-person. There are numerous items to help the ninja on his/her mission, but unlockable items can be acquired if the player gets a "Grand Master" rating at the end of the level by being as stealthy as possible. Items and controls vary from game to game, but the gameplay is essentially the same throughout with the exception of Tenchu: Shadow Assassins. Stealth is a very important element in the game, where players have to duck, crouch, and hide behind walls to avoid detection. Enemies can be killed with one manoeuvre by using Stealth Kills, and a player can avoid detection by using the Ki meter. The larger the number, the closer the player's position to an enemy. If a player is spotted, the Ki meter will turn red, the enemy will alert everyone in the area, and the player is forced to fight hand-to-hand or hide somewhere until the enemies give up their search and resume their patrol routes (similar to Metal Gear Solid's "Soliton Radar").
MAIN CHARACTERS
Rikimaru
Rikimaru (力丸), the current head of the Azuma Ninja clan, under the service of Lord Gohda. He wields the Izayoi sword, which is passed from generation to generation of successive leaders of the Azuma clan. His master and predecessor as head of the clan was Shiunsai, who was killed by another member of the clan, Tatsumaru. Dedicated, honourable, and withdrawn, Rikimaru would sacrifice his own life without hesitation, something he does at the end of Stealth Assassins only to reappear in Wrath of Heaven/Return from Darkness. However, he is not to be underestimated and shows no mercy to his opponents, something he is constantly reminded of each time he thinks about the scar left over his eye by Tatsumaru. His ability to retain his composure and sense of destiny allows him to undertake missions others would consider suicidal. He lacks speed in combat when compared to Ayame, but has greater strength and a greater control over his temper than his female companion. His primary rival in the series is Onikage, whom he fights in almost every game and usually defeats, but keeps coming back due to his resurrection abilities and intense desire to defeat Rikimaru.
Rikimaru's personality was different before the events of Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins. He believed that he was already good enough to defeat any opponent. His misplaced self-confidence would eventually earn him many painful experiences once he finally left his village, but those experiences would also be the source of great mental and spiritual growth.
The Azuma ninja clan is reduced into being made up of only two ninja left: Rikimaru and Ayame.
Ayame is a clouded matter. She has shown feelings for Tatsumaru, and treats Rikimaru only as a companion. Even though both of them show loyalty and respect towards each other, not much compassion is felt between them. This may be an illustration of the harsh life they take on together, or simply Ayame's own tough attitude, which denies us the ability to say if she even thinks of Rikimaru as a friend. Not much is told about their relationship (aside from being partners and being raised by Master Shiunsai). Romantic relationships between the two are unknown and unlikely to exist.
Rikimaru had bonds with two other Ninja: Shiunsai and Tatsumaru. Both were very important to him, and both were lost. Tatsumaru was Rikimaru's role model and older brother. His connection to Tatsumaru was more than what was allowed in the way of the Ninja. And Shiunsai was a father figure to him but Rikimaru showed only his student connection to Shiunsai. Suffering from a memory loss, Tatsumaru kills Shiunsai. Upon the recovery of his memory, he kills himself. This event marked the death of Rikimaru's former personality.
Upon his master's death, Rikimaru takes the role of leader of the Azuma Ninja Clan at the age of 18. His clan is now very small and consists only of Ayame and him. Rikimaru wields the ancient sword Izayoi, which is passed on through the generations from leader to leader. Rikimaru took possession of the sword during the war with the Burning Dawn. Ayame defeated Tatsumaru, who had previously wielded Izayoi, and gave it to Rikimaru, effectively turning over leadership of the clan to him. Izayoi does have certain magical properties, and is also extremely strong and resilient to injury. The only time it has ever been damaged was during Rikimaru's duel with Dr. Kimaira in Wrath of Heaven, and it was promptly repaired by the clan's blacksmith, Ressai.
The scar over his right eye will always remind him that not being focused, showing mercy or acting from a state of pure selflessness will always result in failure. When Tatsumaru killed Master Shiunsai, who was the leader of the Azuma at the time, Rikimaru let his feelings take over and pursued the murderer, his former companion. A fierce fight between the two took place, but eventually gaining the upper hand, Rikimaru hesitates. Tatsumaru takes that time to cut his right eye, leaving him scarred for life. The battle ends here as Kagami takes Tatsumaru with her in a rush. Tatsumaru used to be Rikimaru's role model, but by now, Rikimaru has surpassed him in his spiritual and physical abilities. The power concealed within the right eye will later be revealed as his Dohjutsu, the power that he alone has. It is a possible power that rivals that of Lord Mei-Oh and Tenrai (he was the only one able to survive the portal aside from Mei-Oh and the only one who can really defeat Tenrai).
Many years ago, Shiunsai received an order to assassinate a particular samurai. Together with several fellow ninja, he infiltrated the home of the samurai and killed him. As he and the other ninja were preparing to leave, the dead samurai's wife and servant discovered the ninja. The others quickly dispatched the wife and servant, but as they moved to silence the baby clutched in the dead wife's arms, Shiunsai stopped them from killing the baby boy. Taking pity on the boy, Shiunsai brought the baby home with him and raised it as if it were his own flesh and blood. Shiunsai was already raising Tatsukichi (Tatsumaru's childhood name) to become a ninja, and he decided that the new baby would follow the same path. After the baby had grown into a young boy and started his training as a ninja, it became apparent that he was something of a weakling. Shiunsai therefore gave him the name Chikara, which means strength. Whether or not it was this name that drove him to become stronger, or whether it was from sparring with Tatsukichi every day, no one can say. What is known is that Chikara grew to be the strongest boy in the village. He also developed into an outstanding swordsman. If he had a shortcoming, it was that he didn't learn new techniques as fast as the other students. Slow learner or not, Chikara eventually earned a new name, Rikimaru, and a new title: Ninja.
In Tenchu Z, Rikimaru decides to train the next generation of Azuma Ninja and sends his newest ninja (The player's character and a companion of his choosing) to complete missions assigned to help the town of Gohda. He trained two young ninjas before the events of the game, a male and female. Whatever the sex of the character the player chooses, the other new ninja will still die during the course of events.
Ayame
Ayame (彩女) was Master Shiunsai's student and the secondary protagonist. During the Warring States Period, it is said that Shiunsai travelled to Kyoto only to find it in ruins after warring armies destroyed in bids for ownership. He came across a shocked young girl watching corpses float down a river, unable to recall anything except her own name and age. Shiunsai found himself unable to leave her, but uncertain as to how he could help her. Eventually, he decided to take her with him and train her to become a kunoichi (female ninja). Shiunsai raised the girl, Omon, as a ninja alongside Tatsukichi (Tatsumaru). Though blessed with raw talent, Omon possessed a bad attitude; while she was curious and willing to learn new techniques, she was never patient enough to fully master one. Of his three students, Shiunsai found that she was the most talented in terms of natural abilities. Despite her late start, Omon was initiated into the circle of ninja when she was fourteen, around the same time as Rikimaru, and was given the name Ayame. She became known for her deadly skill with blades as well as her caustic tongue and speed. Ayame respects fellow ninja Rikimaru well, fighting alongside him and willing to sacrifice herself for his sake if necessary. She develops a strong relationship with Kiku, the daughter of Lord Gohda. After the death of Kiku's mother Lady Kei, Ayame became sort of an older sister for Kiku. As a symbol of her relationship, Ayame and Kiku always wear their sister bells close to their hearts. Ayame will protect Kiku at any cost from any harm. The latest installment Tenchu: Shadow Assassins, features Ayame with her hair put up differently, still has a pony tail.
Other main characters
- Tatsumaru (Birth of the Stealth Assassins, Wrath of Heaven/Return From Darkness, Time of the Assassins)
A ninja raised by Master Shiunsai, he was a prominent member in the Azuma clan. During a great fight with Lady Kagami, the two seemingly drowned in the sea. Upon waking up, Tatsumaru lost his memory of his former life and pledged alliance to Lady Kagami and the Burning Dawn. He then joined the attack on the ninja village, in which he brutally killed his former Master Shiunsai, and recovered his memory. Rikimaru, upon seeing his master's body, attacked Tatsumaru, but hesitated to kill his former friend. Tatsumaru took this opportunity to scar Rikimaru's eye and flee with Lady Kagami. Tatsumaru then followed Lady Kagami on her final assault on Gohda's castle. Despite knowing his crimes were unforgivable, he stayed with Lady Kagami because he loved her. His final battle with Ayame resulted in his death, when he committed suicide by impaling himself his own blade, the Izayoi. His body was last seen as Lady Kagami died clutching his corpse. Eight years after his first death Tatsumaru was resurrected by Tenrai to serve as one of the evil sorcerer's minions. He would eventually break out of Tenrai's mind control, sacrificing himself in order to help his former allies Rikimaru and Ayame stop Tenrai. Tatsumaru wields his sword with great skill and efficiency, but prefers to use methods of unarmed combat, like lighting-fast punches and intricate, graceful kick combos.
- Tesshu Fujioka (Wrath of Heaven/Return from Darkness, Time of the Assassins and a cameo role in Fatal Shadows)
A respectable doctor by day, and an assassin by night. He is not a trained ninja and not under the employ of Lord Gohda, unlike Rikimaru and Ayame. He favors unarmed attacks, but in a contrast to Tatsumaru, Tesshu's attacks resemble brutal Karate and/or Jujutsu techniques, utilizing crippling strikes, headbutts, and vicious bone-breaking holds. He also wields acupuncture needles in many of his stealth kills. Another weapon he utilizes is his sheer brute strength, as well as his natural physical resiliency, noted both in his in-game ending (He is stabbed numerous times, yet still manages to kill his attackers and walk out of an exploding town alive), and the fact that out of the three main characters in Wrath of Heaven, he can take the most physical damage. Tesshu works as a mercenary for an underground vigilante organization known as Muzen that murders only if it serves justice. As such, Tesshu has an iron-clad sense of justice, counteracted by his almost cold personality. He is shown to be able to control his temper, releasing his fiery rage as a special attack, increasing his power for a limited time. Tesshu also has a brief moment of rivalry with Rikimaru, when they fight each other to a draw after Rikimaru "steals" Tesshu's kill (Nasu). In Tenchu: Fatal Shadows, Tesshu makes a brief cameo in a cutscene after Rin defeats Futaba and Hitoha. He is the only playable character in the series to have a known full-name.
- Rin (Fatal Shadows, Time of the Assassins) is voiced in English by Lina Zee and Amy
Provenzano and in Japanese by Satsuki Yukino.
Rin is a young kunoichi who has trained in the arts of assassination and unarmed combat since childhood. She was born and raised in a small ninja village called "Hagakure" that lies on the border of Gohda's Relm and the kingdom of the evil sorcerer Lord Mei-oh. After her village was destroyed, Rin has sought to avenge the deaths of her loved ones, working as a hired assassin for “Lady Razor” Ogin. Upon encountering Ayame, the two briefly battle, although Rin soon realises that the other kunoichi is not responsible for the destruction of her village. The pair then form an alliance so that they may better achieve their personal agendas. Rin wields a sword called Natsume, but prefers to fight in unarmed combat, like Tesshu and Tatsumaru. She seeks to avenge her slain kin.
